ISIS out of Raqqa and a War on Kurds

(Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com) With lots of news coming out of the Middle East, its time to get the bigger picture into focus. I had a chance to sit down with Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com and do just that, covering the fall of Raqqa and what seems to be a war with the Kurds of Iraq. Find our conversation here. As they did, the mob chanted “No Cops, No KKK, No Fascist USA.” As if the anarchist timbre of the crowd wasn’t unsettling enough, the scenes of near hysteria that followed the toppling of the statue were truly disturbing. As soon as the bent form of the statue hit the ground, several members of the...

Mosul is free! Sort of.

This is going to be an unusual post. Usually short with some unusual images, two, taken with my Samsung Note 5. I am just back from Iraq, no more than 24 hour from writing this. I have LOTS to tell you and share by way of photographs, too. But I wanted to address the big news, recently released, that the fight against ISIS in Iraq is over, and the city of Mosul is free! Well, not exactly. (The stairs leading up to the tomb of Jonah. Iraq, 2017) Among the many places that I...
